Man Arrested After Allegedly Strangling, Assaulting Women During PWC Dispute: Police

A Woodbridge man is facing multiple charges after a domestic dispute turned violent, leaving three women injured, police said.

Officers responded to a home on the 1800 block of Giles Ct. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, shortly before 9 p.m. to investigate the incident, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

Police said the altercation began as a verbal dispute between 46-year-old Luther Stephen Gordon, and three women, all between 22 and 44 years old. 

During the encounter, Gordon allegedly struck two of the women and grabbed the neck of the 44-year-old, damaging her phone in the process.

The parties eventually separated, and officers arrived shortly after to take Gordon into custody, while the women reported minor injuries.

Following the investigation, Gordon was arrested and charged with:

  • Two counts of assault;
  • Strangulation;
  • Domestic assault and battery;
  • Destruction of property.

He is being held without bond. A court date is pending.
